It has been so long since I've posted a new blog that I could tell you about so many different subjects, but right now I'm so excited about the flowers in my yard. We have so much going on in the flower beds and containers. We started out with many different containers in purple flowers for Noah and Becky's open house and then we added a rainbow pattern in the long bed, that's the bed that runs next to our driveway, and then Maurie added new herbs for the brand new herb bed. Out in the far back we have Karl Forester grass and no flowers. The following are pictures of some of the flowers in our flower beds.
This is day lily that is planted in the curvy bed by the front walk. It's been there for about four years and thankfully it comes back bigger and stronger every summer.
This is a bigger view of the plant.
Window boxes in front of our windows. We took these down and placed them on the back of the food tables at the open house. We got lots of great comments about how pretty they looked.
I don't know the name of this plant but it is flourishing in all of the window boxes.
Some of the red flowers in the red section of the rainbow long bed.
Red lilies
The pink section of the rainbow bed is the best looking right now. Pink geraniums, a really young hollyhock and a gerbera daisy.
More geraniums, lilies and some pale pink baby petunias.
Lots of little pink daisies.
Cosmo
Can you tell that Maurie is very fond of lilies. Into the orange section of the rainbow bed.
Yellow daisies
Around in back on the patio we have herbs.
Basil, cilantro, thyme and more. I haven't used much from the herb bed because I want it to get bigger. There are more herbs on the other side. I want to thank Rachel for taking all of these pictures. She actually took many more but I couldn't use them all.

I'm glad to see the flower pictures. You need to take a bigger picture of your home, front yard, and back yard, since I have never seen them. Oh and always include pictures of the kids. How is your summer going? Ours is going way to fast.
Your yard was beautiful when we saw it a month ago, it looks even more so now. We can't wait to see you again in August.
your flowers are beautiful; it's a temptation to be envious, but i'll refrain and just be glad that you have such a pretty yard. you'll be glad to know that the ficus plant we rescued while you were here is putting out new leaves so i guess it likes what we did and also the aloe plants are all doing well. i just walked through the garden and i have a 4 inch broccoli head but the peas are a big disappointment.
Your flowers are amazing. Such a variety I am so impressed. Happy Gardening.
