A New Look for Noah

Noah grew a beard while he was on his week break from working at BYU. When it came time to shave it off he checked out a future look, maybe.

Another angle. I don't know if he would like your feedback on this style or not, but I know how much my comments were appreciated.

I think he looks quite handsome. Especially that nice view of the nose hair and the stroking of the chin adds a few points to his I.Q. We are always clowning for the camera.

Last Day in Utah

On Center Street there is a new restaurant called "Guru's". Noah had heard good things about it so that is where we headed for lunch. Wally met us there at noon.

This is a picture of Wally Potts. He and Noah were companions in Paraguay and now they are room-mates at BYU. Wally is all excited because he is affianced to the lovely Adreanne. They will be married in late August. Adreanne happens to be in London right now as she signed up for study abroad before she got that serious about Wally. They had to plan the whole wedding way up front as she doesn't get back to Provo until four days before the wedding.

Seth is enjoying the restaurant atmosphere.

Noah captures a self portarait. The restaurant was artistically funky with lots of metal art.

I really enjoyed Guru's. I ordered a salad that was very good. It was a nice place for a lunch. And if you are a starving student and your mother offers to pay it's a really good deal.

This is the NorthEast entrance to the Library. It is the biggest building on campus. Noah knows it intimately. For he not only studies there, he works there.

Noah is pointing at the Bathroom he cleaned last night.

Noah NOT pointing at the bathroom he cleaned last night.

Seth not concerned about a bathroom he has to clean tonight.

Lovely flowers just north of the Library, looking towards the Administration building.

At the bookstore we showed our true cougar fervor. A kind gentleman observed our silliness and offered to snap this shot for us.

Notice the small child looking at the strangely-hatted Seth.

At the ads board in the basement of the Wilkinson center, Seth points at one of the saddest things on the whole campus. Yes, they are selling USED engagement rings.

Seth contemplating another taste of milkshake.

This is Not a hamburger! It is an ice-cream and cookie sandwich. It is one of Noah's favorite treats. He eats them when he's turned down by a girl for a second date. It's his comfort food.

Working Hard in Castle Dale or Hardly Working

This is a picture looking north by Lizzie's garage.
These pictures are of the retaining wall that Andrew and Seth built. Plans are for a quick clean up and then fill in the space ansd hopefully it will be leveled off, paved with rocks and a shade garden will be planted. Lizzy envisions a little bistro table with some chairs to finish it off.
This is a picture of the group effort that took place Wednesday. This cute little dress turned out so cute. Everyone was pleased, especially considering that we only started with an idea of what we wanted it to look like.
Isn't she a cute model.
Lizzy had a painful experience. She was wandering around her kitchen and stubbed it hard into my foot. Yes her feet were bare and I of course had my shoes on . Immediately she knew that she had broken her toe. It started swelling right away. She wrapped it up and iced it for as long as she could sit still. She reports that it will be painful for awhile and she hopes that the swelling will be down so that she can sing her duet in church on Sunday without wearing a slipper.

Seth helped Andrew build a retaining wall in Lizzie's front yard. Have you ever seen Seth with such a determined face. Such a determined look I had to put it in twice. These shots were taken on Tuesday July 8th.
Andrew couldn't sit still when there were blocks to stack so he enlisted Seth and they started to work.
Here is a shot of Seth preparing the ground.
Here is the final product. Notice the spot for a pool. The plan is to build a fountain up on the hill and it will flow down rocks and splash into the pool.

On Thursday Seth made bread under Lizzie's direction .Seth is preparing to knead the bread dough.
It was very sticky and he used lots of flour.
In this shot you can see Lizzie's hands aiding Seth.
Here Seth is trying again to get the right consistency. Seth had fun making the bread but tomorrow he doesn't want to hang out with his Mom and his Aunt. I believe that Seth has found his inner baker. The bread turned out great and we ate three of the four loaves right away.
