Working Hard in Castle Dale or Hardly Working

This is a picture looking north by Lizzie's garage.
These pictures are of the retaining wall that Andrew and Seth built. Plans are for a quick clean up and then fill in the space ansd hopefully it will be leveled off, paved with rocks and a shade garden will be planted. Lizzy envisions a little bistro table with some chairs to finish it off.
This is a picture of the group effort that took place Wednesday. This cute little dress turned out so cute. Everyone was pleased, especially considering that we only started with an idea of what we wanted it to look like.
Isn't she a cute model.
Lizzy had a painful experience. She was wandering around her kitchen and stubbed it hard into my foot. Yes her feet were bare and I of course had my shoes on . Immediately she knew that she had broken her toe. It started swelling right away. She wrapped it up and iced it for as long as she could sit still. She reports that it will be painful for awhile and she hopes that the swelling will be down so that she can sing her duet in church on Sunday without wearing a slipper.

Seth helped Andrew build a retaining wall in Lizzie's front yard. Have you ever seen Seth with such a determined face. Such a determined look I had to put it in twice. These shots were taken on Tuesday July 8th.
Andrew couldn't sit still when there were blocks to stack so he enlisted Seth and they started to work.
Here is a shot of Seth preparing the ground.
Here is the final product. Notice the spot for a pool. The plan is to build a fountain up on the hill and it will flow down rocks and splash into the pool.

On Thursday Seth made bread under Lizzie's direction .Seth is preparing to knead the bread dough.
It was very sticky and he used lots of flour.
In this shot you can see Lizzie's hands aiding Seth.
Here Seth is trying again to get the right consistency. Seth had fun making the bread but tomorrow he doesn't want to hang out with his Mom and his Aunt. I believe that Seth has found his inner baker. The bread turned out great and we ate three of the four loaves right away.

That was a great blog. I was glad to see the happenings of the past week. The retaining walls look great and what a cute dress. I am so glad that Morgan and Andrew stayed a little longer to help out and of course the added bonus of Leah. I loved the picture of Seth's determined face too. I had to save it. He looks very manly.
