February Highlights

This is our pet bunny. His name is Dust. Yeah, ha ha. Get it? Dust Bunny. He is a large lop eared bunny. He just got out of the shower. His fur is very soft, but it is even softer when he is clean. Dust is not the smartest animal out there. He doesn't know his own name, but he has one trick. You can be anywhere in the house, put him down and say go home and he will run to Seth's room where his cage is.

These are some of Rachel's friends at Waubonsee. She borrowed my camera to take pictures of her friends on free hugs day.
Here are some more friends. Actually the girl is the same Cindy from the previous picture, but the guys are different.
We recently celebrated Valentine's Day. I love this holiday. Every year I make more valentine cards to decorate the house. This year I got a victorian valentine card kit and enjoyed hours of cutting, gluing and designing new valentine cards.
To add to the celebration we hosted a Dinner party. A small one. Here is the table all set with the good plates and siverware and candle light.
Our guests were Rob and Sherry Louk. They have lived in our ward for about four years and we love their company.
Our other guests were Bill and Cathy Hall. We have known Bill and Cathy for years and they have always been good friends.
For dinner we had grilled salmon with mango salsa, mushroom rice pilaf and asparagus in brown butter.
Our guests brought green salad with rolls and for dessert strawberry rhubarb pie with vanilla ice cream. It was a wonderful evening. We ate, we talked and visited until almost eleven o clock. I hope we do something like this again real soon.

your valentine table looks beautiful. what a good idea to have a nice little dinner party, i'm glad it was a success. weren't the kids invited? or did you make them serve? we went to the stake valentine dinner and speaker and had a good time, but i'm sure our food wasn't nearly as good as yours. the speaker was one of the first descendents of joseph smith to be baptized and the first to hold the melchizedek priesthood since joseph smith. it was a very interesting, informative, not so romantic evening.

It looks like you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. How nice to have friends over for dinner. Jim was still in Pennsylvania so we baked heart sugar cookies and then delivered them to Liz and Dennis, Grandma and Grandpa and Jon and Wendy.
